Can you imagine it! Just step ouside your back door and start skating around your backyard!! Well, probably not in Horsham!
In Bethel, when it snowed, the road crew piled the snow up on the sides of the road. The warmth of early April melted a bit of snow, then it got cold again and froze to form a rink. Alas! No skates small enough for my small yet adequate feet, but my friend had a lovely time on the ice! I was happy to take this photo.

Imagine all those boring jobs that could become fun…when you have to take the rubbish out….just glide down to the bin, throw the rubbish in, and gracefully glide back again!! Think of all the things that would suddenly become easier and more enjoyable and let me know!!
What things would become really difficult if your backyard froze?
How could you overcome this?

Dear I-quad
I have a good idea. You could feed your dog by skating across and making a trail. You would need to make your dog a pair of little skates but it would also give you a lot of exercise. The best thing is you would have fun and your dog would get fed.

If my backyard was an ice rink I could play ice cricket, ice hockey, ice tennis or any other sports on the ice. I t would be so fun. Hay I-quad you have had a lot of visitors from different parts of the world. I think your shades are pretty cool. I wish I could have shades like that.

Well I-quad,
When you go outside you will just slip over if you don’t have some ice skates on. The ice could break and you could fall in some water and it would be freezing.

If I could I go on ice I would go to the shop and back again. I will eat a frozen lolly it would be so cool and cold. How cold is it there?
You look cool in your outfit.

Hi I-quad
I have a terrific idea of what would be hard to do if my backyard was an ice skating rink. It would be hard to play most sports except for ice hockey. If you tried to play football and tried to kick the ball you’d fall over backwards and the ball would go over your head

Hi I-quad
I watched your rock cycle, I think it is really cool. I learnt that a rock is formed by magma and cooling results in many small crystals and gas bubbles it puts holes in the lava to break it up to make a smaller rock.
Hi Josh, well done, animations are a great way to learn aren’t they?

To I-quad, I think it would be heaps of fun if my backyard was an ice rink. I would be able to play ice cricket, ice footy, ice tennis, ice hockey, ice soccer and any other sports on ice!!!!!!!!!!
I wouldn’t be able to jump on the trampoline if my backyard was an ice rink. I hope you have fun in Alaska and all over the world!!!!!!!!!

I would LOVE to have ice in my backyard!(But my mum wouldn’t let me.) I think you should go out and enjoy the ice because your not going to stay there for ever, are you? If you did, who would tell us about stuff from around the world?
Goodbye, keep telling us about your trip.
